“Ten eyes of Dublin” and CLARITY

How does the city affect social and environmental sustainability? How does your lifestyle affect your carbon footprint? Would this change if you were pregnant, lived in a different place or had a different job?

This one-day exhibition, which took place on the 25th February at the Science Gallery, looked at the carbon and ecological footprints of different people in Dublin. It examined 10 different personas to identify how different members of a community interact with their environment.

The exhibition made use of CLARITY SenseCam’s to record the perspectives of 10 design personas on social and environmental sustainability in Dublin and featured a video of outputs produced by CLARITY PhD researcher Daragh Byrne, which will shortly be available on the TrinityHaus website (http://www.trinityhaus.tcd.ie/).

TrinityHaus is a new venture at TCD that crosses traditional boundaries in engineering, sciences and the arts. It is a catalyst for change and innovation by carrying our high quality industrially relevant research that underpins innovation in the energy demand management for low carbon living, people-centred design and sustainable construction.
