Education and Outreach
The Education and Outreach remit within CLARITY is very broad and ranges from communication between the internal and external CLARITY environment, public relations and marketing activities, recruitment of postgraduate students, the provision of educational seminars to CLARITY researchers, and outreaching to industry in the form of industry placements for CLARITY postgraduate students. Therefore, education and outreach activities within CLARITY are directed both inwards and outwards.
The overall educational mission of CLARITY is to inspire, explore, excite and motivate an interest in science in students of all ages, to help lay the foundation for a new generation of scientists. As well as this, the CLARITY Education and Outreach programme will assist in raising the profile of scientific research within Ireland.
Dr Bridget Kelly is the CLARITY Education and Outreach Officer, and she is supported by Education and Outreach Steering and working groups, consisting of CLARITY Principal Investigators and postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers within CLARITY.
